Description
The Lancer Ice Shroud IC (05-2293/02) is a containment housing that surrounds the ice dispensing auger and chute interface. Its primary role is to direct the ice flow strictly into the chute and prevent ‘ice blowout’—where ice chips fly into the cabinet interior or onto the customer counter. It also serves as a secondary moisture barrier to keep condensation within the bin area.
Problem Solved: This part fixes issues with ice building up behind the splash plate, which eventually melts and causes ‘mystery leaks’ at the base of the machine. It also restores a sanitary dispense path by replacing shrouds that have developed biofilm or mineral staining that cannot be cleaned.
Technician’s Note: Check the shroud mounting tabs for stress whitening. If the tabs are loose, the shroud will vibrate against the bin, creating a high-pitched rattling noise whenever ice is dispensed. Use food-grade silicone at the mating seams for a 100% moisture seal.Technical Specifications:
