Description
This precision-engineered check valve is the essential internal replacement part for Perlick® 26000 and 36000 series lever-style keg couplers. Designed to sit within the gas-in port, this valve acts as a one-way gate that allows CO2 or nitrogen to enter the keg while preventing beer from backing up into your gas lines. Manufactured from high-grade, food-safe elastomers, this replacement part restores the sanitary integrity of your draught system, protecting your expensive primary and secondary regulators from liquid contamination and internal corrosion.
- Compatibility: Perlick® 26000 and 36000 Series Lever Couplers
- Function: One-way gas check valve (prevents backflow)
- Material: Durable, food-grade EPDM/Silicone blend
- Application: Gas-in nipple assembly for D-System and S-System couplers
- Maintenance: Recommended replacement if gas lines show signs of moisture or “beer backup”
- Durability: Resistant to standard alkaline beer line cleaners and high-pressure CO2
Technician’s Note: The check valve (often called a “duckbill” or “torpedo” valve depending on its specific shape) is the only thing standing between your beer and your gas regulator. If a keg is over-pressurized or if the gas cylinder runs empty while the coupler is engaged, beer can be forced backward into the air line. When installing this into a 26000 series coupler, ensure the valve is seated firmly and pointing in the correct direction—if it’s backward, you’ll get no gas flow and no beer. We suggest a quick inspection of this valve during every bi-weekly line cleaning.
