The Glastender LC Refrigerated Lettuce Crisper is a great choice for operations that handle a lot of lettuce. This wall mounted unit takes up very little space and can be added to a prep station for convenient and efficient access to fresh lettuce which can speed up serving times. Unlike a conventional refrigerator, you don’t need to open up the main door to this unit, a smaller flip-up door provides quick access to the lettuce chute.
Lettuce is easily added into a top-loading removable roto-molded plastic bin. The lettuce is kept at its optimal temperature between 34ºF and 40ºF with a ⅛ HP self-contained refrigeration unit that is capable of 1,228 BTU/hr of heat rejection with R134a refrigerant. The temperature is efficiently maintained through the use of foamed-in-place CFC free insulation. The interior temperature is displayed on a digital readout and can be adjusted with a thermostat on the front of the device.
Maintenance is simple with this unit’s automatic defrosting and condensate evaporator minimize downtime and the front mounted air filter is easily removed for cleaning.
The Glastender LC Refrigerated Lettuce Crisper is 24” wide, 24-1/32” from front to back and 36-¼” tall. The door can be ordered hinged on either the left or right according to what works best in your kitchen. The door, lettuce chute, exterior front, flip-up lid, and interior are made from easy to clean stainless steel while the condensing unit, exterior bottom, and back are made from durable galvanized steel. Installation is simple with the provided wall mount brackets.
This lettuce crisper uses standard 120v/60/1-ph power and draws 3.0 amps at full load. It needs to be connected to a 15.0 amp circuit through its included grounded 6-foot cord with NEMA 5-15P plug.
